Apart from some minor bug fixes, we included:

  • Customizable password structure validators, including two bundled samples and the framework for you to write your owns.
  • Usage of a much much stronger hashing algorithm for RDBMS based users/passwords storage. Check out the Jasypt project (www.jasypt.org) for some very nice, powerfull and yet simple Java encryption/hashing implementations.

As usual you can get the new version from the downloads section at the sourceforge project page.

We are also planning on migrating the Kasai Manual to an online Wiki based version, so stay tuned for news on this front.

It’s still alpha quality but all important features are already there, including an awesome AJAX based web administrative tool, along with MS SQL and PostgreSQL support.

  • SQL Server support
  • PostgreSQL support
  • Dynamic users and groups fields

The web admin interface still needs work, so until thats finished we wont release a beta version of 2.0. Hopefully more news will come soon.
